This tutorial is of my own creation and any resemblance to any other tuts is purely coincidental. This tutorial is for personal use only, using it for monetary gain is against our TOU's.
Supplies:
Gimp or program of choice
Tube of choice. I am using the art of Eclipsy. You must have a proper license
to use these tubes. You can purchase the tube I used at The PSP Project
to use these tubes. You can purchase the tube I used at The PSP Project
FTU kit Los Muertos from Gimptastic Scraps
Template 276 from Millies PSP Madness
Mask- 119 from weescotslass
Font- Xtreem Thin Demo
-Open template. Delete credits & 6. Image>Scale Image 550x420 px. Image>Canvas Size 650x650 px and click center.
-Let's add papers to the template layers. Make the template layer active (see below). Right click template layer in layer box and choose alpha to selection. Open paper (see below). Right click paper layer in layer box and choose add alpha channel. Select>Invert. Press delete on your keyboard. Select>None. Filters>Light & Shadow>Drop Shadow 2, 2, 10, black, 80. Delete the original template layer. Here are the template layers and which papers I used:
1- paper 8
2- paper 4
3- paper 7
5- paper 10
-Repeat drop shadow on layer 4.
-Open tube. Make the top layer. Layer>Scale Layer 65%. Place in the center of tag. Repeat drop shadow.
-Open frame 1. Make the bottom layer. Place in the center of tag. Repeat drop shadow.
-open frame 5. Move below the tube layer. Scale 25%. Select the rotate tool. Click canvas and in the angle box put -15. Place frame to the bottom left of tube (see mine). Layer>Duplicate Layer. Layer To Image Size. Select the flip toll and click canvas (to flip duplicate frame to the bottom right of tube).
-Make the left heart frame active. Select the fuzzy select tool (magic wand). Click inside this frame. Select>grow 3. Open paper 3. Place inside the selection. Add alpha channel. Invert & delete. Open tube. Place in selection. Delete. Select none. Change the mode of this tube to soft light. Repeat drop shadow on frame. Repeat above for the right heart frame.
-Open frame 5 again. Move above the thin oval layer. Scale 50. Rotate -15. Place to the left of tube. Repeat drop shadow.
Elements:
Repeat drop shadow on all element layers
smoke
candle (flip & duplicate twice)
scroll (flip)
Flowers 1, 2 & 3 (duplicate all & flip)

bird
deco 1

-Open paper 5. Make the bottom layer. Apply mask. Click HERE to learn how to use masks in Gimp.
-Add name and copyright and you're done!!

Supplies Needed:
~Gimp (any version will do).
~Fabulous PTU scrapkit by Tasha's Playground which you can get HERE.
~Tube of choice. I used the artwork of Ismael Rac, you must have a license to use this art which you can get HERE.
~Template of choice. I used RNR template 4 which you can get HERE.
~Mask of choice. I used WSL mask 302 which you can get HERE.
~Font of choice. I used LukeFont Medium.
Let's get started!!!
1. Open a new layer (I prefer a large canvas, so I make mine 1050x656). Make your canvas transparent (Layer > Transparency > Color to Alpha).
2. Open template in PSD format, move layers of template around until they are the way you like them.
~Add paper from scrapkit to individual layers of the template (Right click on template layer in layer box > Alpha to Selection > CTRL I > Select paper layer in layer box > Delete).
These are the papers I used:
Paper 2
Paper 4
Paper 9
~Add drop shadow to template layers (Filters > Light & Shadow > Drop Shadow).
3. Open tube, add drop shadow.
4. Open and place the following elements:
Path
Smear
Street Sign 2
Cardboard
Record
Barrel
Deco 2
Bomb
Flair
Hydrant
Ghetto Blaster
Tapes
Purple Drink
Wordart 2
~Some of the elements may need to be sized down. Using your scale tool in your tool box adjust the pixel size until element is the correct size~
~Add drop shadow to all elements (except Path & Smear)~
5. Open Paper 12
6. Open mask
7. Add mask to paper (click HERE for a tut on using masks).
8. Merge Layers (Image > Merge Visible Layers).
9. Crop Image (Image > Autocrop Image).
10. Scale image to desired size (Image > Scale Image).
11. Add copyright info and name.
12. Save as .png
ALL DONE!!!!!!!!!!

~Working for a Living PTU scrapkit by Sweet Cravings Scraps which you can find HERE.
~Tube of choice. I used the artwork of Alayna Magnan, I do not believe tubes are available any longer but you can find more info HERE.
~Mask of choice. I used WSL mask 99 which you can find HERE.
~Font of choice. I used CrabSalad Medium.
Let's get started!!!!!
1. Open a new layer ( I prefer a large canvas, so I make mine 1050x656). Make your canvas transparent (Layer > Transparency > Color to alpha).
2. Open Frame 4, add drop shadow (Filters > Light & Shadow > Drop Shadow).
3. Open Paper 1 center it behind Frame 4, remove excess paper using a cutting tool or eraser.
4. Open tube, add drop shadow.

Bottle Cap 1
Nut
Road Sign 1
Bee
Hammer

Tool Box
Screwdriver
Fire Hydrant
Tape Measure
Nail

~Add drop shadow to all elements (except Paint Roller 1)~
6. Open Paper 10
7. Open mask
8. Add mask to paper (click HERE for a tut on using masks).
9. Merge layers (Image > Merge Visible Layer).
10. Crop image (Image > Autocrop Image).
11. Scale image to desired size (Image > Scale Image).
12. Add copyright info and name.
13. Save as .png

~Susie's Seashore PTU scrapkit by A Taggers Scrap.
~Tube of choice. I used the artwork of Baron Von Lind, you must have a license to use this art which you can now find HERE.
~Mask of choice. I used WSL mask 84 which you can get HERE.
~Font of choice. I used Pink Clouds Medium.
Let's get started!!!!!
1. Open a new layer ( I prefer a large canvas, so I make mine 1050x656). Make your canvas transparent (Layer > Transparency > Color to alpha).
2. Open Frame 10, add drop shadow (Filters > Light & Shadow > Drop Shadow).
3. Open Paper 21 center it behind Frame 10, remove excess paper using a cutting tool or eraser.
4. Open Shipswheel, place it under Frame 10 & Paper 21 in your layer box. Add drop shadow.
5. Open tube, add drop shadow.
6. Open and place the following elements:
Bead Scatter
Sand 2
Boat 2
Seagull
Grass
Grass 3
Lighthouse
Treasure Chest 2
Fishing Rod
Shells 5
Crab
Twine
Jar 2
Bottle
Anchor
Fish 2
~Some elements may need to be sized down. Using the Scale Tool in your tool box adjust pixels to desired size~
~Add drop shadow to all elements (except Bead Scatter, Sand 2, Grass & Grass 3)~
7. Open Paper 4
8. Open mask
9. Add mask to paper (click HERE for a tut on using masks).
10. Merge layers (Image > Merge Visible Layer).
11. Crop image (Image > Autocrop Image).
12. Scale image to desired size (Image > Scale Image).
13. Add copyright info and name.
14. Save as .png

Tube of choice. I am using the matching tube for the kit from Jenna Lee. You must have a proper license to use this tube. Purchase both the kit and tube exclusively at The PSP Project.
Template 177 from me HERE
Mask- 250 from weescotslass
Font-
-Open template. Delete credits. Image>Canvas Size 650x650 px and click center.
-Let's add papers to the template layers. Make the template layer active (see below). Right click template layer in layer box and choose alpha to selection. Open paper (see below). Right click paper layer in layer box and choose add alpha channel. Select>Invert. Press delete on your keyboard. Select>None. Filters>Light & Shadow>Drop Shadow 2, 2, 5, black, 50. Delete the original template layer. Here are the template layers and which papers I used:
Raster 1- paper 8
Raster 3- paper 1
Copy of Raster 3- paper 4
Raster 2- paper 10
Raster 8- paper 5
Copy of Raster 8- paper 9
Raster 7- paper 7
Raster 4- paper 2
words 1- paper 1
-Make words 2 active. Repeat drop shadow.
-Open tube. Move below the word art layers. Layer>Scale Layer 70%. Place on the big pink circle. Repeat drop shadow. Layer>Duplicate Layer. Filters>Blur>Gaussian Blur on default. Change the mode to soft light.
-Open frame 5. Move below the tube layers. Place at the bottom of tag. Select the fuzzy select tool (magic wand). Press shift on your keyboard and click in the 3 boxes of frame. Select>Grow 2. Change your foreground color to ff6aae and your background color to fef700. Select the blend tool. Gradient: FG TO BG (RGB), Shape: Linear. Layer>New Layer. Move new layer below frame in layer box. With your mouse, click the middle left of the frame and drag all the way to the middle right of frame. Open tube. Place in the 1st box of frame. Duplicate. Place duplicate in 2nd box. Duplicate and place in the 3rd box. Merge these 3 tube layers together (Layer>Merge Down). Invert & delete. Select none. Change the mode to screen. Filters>Noise>RGB Noise. Change all sliders (except alpha) to 0.30. Make the frame active and repeat drop shadow.

PTU kit toxic Fetish from Tasha's Playground
Tube of choice. I am using the art of Ismael Rac. You must have a proper license to use his tubes. Purchase them at his store HERE
Mask- 117 from weescotslass
Font- Sick Capital Vice
-File>New 600x600 px.
-Open frame 2. Layer>Scale Layer 85%. Place in the center of canvas. Select the fuzzy select tool (magic wand). Click inside the very top box of frame. Select>Grow 5. Open paper 6. Move below the frame layer. Layer>Transparency>Add Alpha Channel. Place paper in selection. Select>invert. Press delete on keyboard. Select>None. Repeat the steps above to add different papers to the frame. the other papers I used (going clockwise): 3, 9 & 2. Make the frame active. Filters>Light & Shadow>Drop Shadow 2, 2, 5, black, 80.
-Make sure the frame layer is active. Layer>Duplicate Layer. Make the duplicate the bottom layer in the layer box. Select the rotate tool and click canvas. In the angle box put 35. Place in the center of tag. Select the magic wand tool. Click shift and click inside all 4 boxes. Add paper 1 to this frame (repeat above). Repeat drop shadow on the frame.
-Open tube. Make the top layer. Scale 85%. Place in center of tag. Repeat drop shadow. Duplicate. Place the duplicate under the top frame layer in the layer box. Make the top frame active. Click inside the very bottom box. Grow 5. Invert. make the duplicate tube active. Delete. Select none. Make the original tube active. Layer>Merge Down (to merge tube with its drop shadow). Select the eraser tool and erase her legs (so she looks like she is sticking out of the frame).
-Open frame 4. Make the bottom layer. Scale 95%. Place in the center of tag. Add paper 7 to this frame. Repeat drop shadow on frame.

-File>New 600x600 px.
-Open frame 1. Layer>Scale Layer 85%. Place in the center of canvas. Select the Fuzzy Select Tool (magic wand). Click inside the frame. Select>Grow 5. Open paper 17. Move below the frame layer in the layer box. Layer>Transparency>Add Alpha Channel. Select>Invert. Delete. Open tube. Make the top layer. Place in the center of the frame. Layer>Duplicate. Move duplicate below the frame layer. Delete. Select>None. Make the top tube layer active. Filters>Light & Shadow>Drop Shadow 2, 2, 5, black, 50. Layer>Merge Down (to merge tube with shadow). Select the eraser tool and erase the legs of the tube so it looks like she is sticking out of the frame. Make the frame layer active and repeat drop shadow.
-Open frame 3. Make the bottom layer. Place on center of canvas. Add paper 8 to this frame (repeat above, once you get to the part where you open the tube just Select>None). Repeat drop shadow on frame layer.
-Open frame 10. Make the bottom layer. Scale 85%. Select the rotate tool and click canvas. In the angle box put -10. Place on the center of the canvas. Add paper 6. Repeat drop shadow on frame.
-Open frame 7. Move below the main tube layer. Scale 40%. Place at the bottom left of tag (see mine). Layer>Duplicate Layer. Place duplicate at the top left of tag (see mine). Add paper 25 to the top left frame. Add paper 4 to the bottom right frame. Repeat drop shadow on both of these frame layers.
Elements:
(scale and add drop shadows to your liking)
pebbles
flowers (duplicate & rotate 180)
gem 2 (rotate 90)
beads
blossoms (rotate 180/ Duplicate- press ctrl and flip)

gem 3 (rotate -20/ Duplicate-flip)

-Open paper 3. Make the bottom layer. Apply mask. Click HERE to learn how use masks in Gimp.

Tube of choice. I am using the art of Di Halim. You must have a proper license to use these tubes. You can purchase them at PFD.
Mask- 194 from weescotslass
Font- Before The Rain
Font- Before The Rain
-File>New 650x650 px.
-Open tube. Layer>Scale Layer 45%. Place towards the right side of canvas. Filters>Light & Shadow>Drop Shadow 2, 2, 5, black, 50. Layer>Duplicate Layer. Filters>Blur>Gaussian Blur on default. Change the mode to soft light and lower the opacity to 60.
-Open frame 3. Make the bottom layer in the layer box. Place in center of canvas. Select the fuzzy select tool (magic wand). Click inside the frame. Select>Grow 5. Open paper 4. Move below frame layer. Layer>Transparency>Add Alpha Channel. Select>Invert. Press delete on keyboard. Open tube. Place in selection to the right. Duplicate. Scoot duplicate a little to the left. Duplicate again and move to the left. Merge these 3 tubes together (Layer>Merge Down). Delete. Select>None. Change the mode to screen. Repeat drop shadow on frame layer. I erased anything sticking below the tube.
-Open frame 2. Make the bottom layer. Place to the left side of tag. With the magic wand click inside the frame. Grow 5. Open paper 9. Move below this frame layer. Add alpha channel. Invert & delete. Select none. Repeat drop shadow on frame. I deleted anything sticking below the tube.
-Open frame 2 again. Make the bottom layer. Select the rotate tool and click canvas. In the angle box put 90. Place to the right side of tag. Add paper 6 to this frame (repeat steps above). Repeat drop shadow on frame. Delete anything below the tube.
