This tutorial is of my own creation and any resemblance to any other tuts is purely coincidental. This tutorial is for personal use only, using it for monetary gain is against our TOU's.

Supplies:

Gimp or program of choice

Tube of choice. I am using the art of Myriadelle. You must have a license to use these tubes. Purchase the one I used at PSP Tubes Emporium

Texture 109 (wood one..last one in top row) from Punk Rose

Fonts- Impact & Buffied

-File>New 600x225 px.

-Layer>New Later. change foreground to white and background to 2f4e07. Select the blend tool. Garadiet: FG TO BG (RGB), Shape: Radial. Click the middle of canvas and drag all the way to the left. Filters>Distorts>Whirl & Pinch. Change just the whirl angle to 450.00.

Open tube close up. Place to the far left. Layer>Layer To Image Size. Layer>Duplicate Layer. Select the flip tool and click canvas, to flip the duplicate tube. Layer>Merge down (to merge the 2 tube layers together). Filters>Blur>Motion Blur: radial, x: 300, y 112, angle 30. Ok. Change the mode to grain extract.

-Open texture. Move below the blurred tube layer in the layer box. Layer>Transparency>Add Alpha Channel. Change the mode to soft light.

-Open tube close up again. Move below the texture layer. Place in the middle of tag. Change the mode to value.

-Open full tube. Make the top layer. Layer>Scale Layer 65%. Place a little towards the right side of tag. Filters>Light & Shadow>Drop Shadow on default.

-Select the text tool. Change your foreground to white, font: Impact, size: 75. Type 'BUFFY'. Select the rotate tool and click canvas. In the angle box put 90. Place text to the far right of the tag. Add drop shadow of 2, 2, 2, black, 50. Merge the text with the drop shadow. Change the mode to soft light.

-Still using the text tool, change your foreground to black and size to 25. Type 'the vampire slayer'. Rotate 90. Place on top of BUFFY text. Lower the opacity to 50.

-Select the rectangle select tool. Make a thin selection near the bottom left of your tag.

Add new layer below main tube. Change foreground to 529681. Select the bucket fill tool and fill selection. Lower the opacity to 65. Add new layer. bucket fill with 063f30. Select>Shrink by 3. Press delete on keyboard. Select>None. Filters>Noise>RGB Noise. Change all sliders (except alpha) to 0.40. Repeat drop shadow.

-Select the text tool. Font: Impact, Size: 20, Foreground: white. Type 'lets kill some vampires' 2 times. Place text on rectangle. Repeat drop shadow.

-Still using the text tool, change your font to Buffied, size: 100, foreground: white. Type 'Buffy'. Repeat drop shadow. Merge text with shadow. Change the mode to soft light. Place text at the top left.

-Lets add the border. Make the top layer active and add a new layer. Change the foreground to 063f30. Bucket fill canvas. Repeat noise. Layer>Transparency>Alpha To Selection. Shrink by 5. Delete. Bucket fill black. Shrink by 1. Delete. Bucket fill 529681. Shrink by 1. Delete. Select none.

-Add new layer below border layer. Bucket fill with black. Alpha to selection. Shrink 10. Delete. Select none. Filters>Blur>Gaussian Blur 10.0.

-Add name and copyright.

For the avatar:

On  your siggy, make all the layers above the rectangle invisible (by clicking the eye next to the layer in the layer box). Edit>Copy Visible.

-File>New 150x150 px.

-Edit>Paste As>New Layer.

-Using the move tool, move the copied layer how you want it.

-Add new layer. Fill with 063f30. Repeat noise. Alpha to selection. Shrink by 3. Delete. Bucket fill with black. Shrink by 1. Delete. Fill with 529681. Shrink 1. Delete. Select none.

-Add new layer. Move below border layer. Fill with black. Alpha to selection. Shrink by 6. Delete. Select none. Repeat gaussian blur.

-Open tube. Move below border layers. Scale 40%. Place to far right.

-Add name and copyright.
