This tutorial is of my own creation and any resemblance to any other tuts is purely coincidental. This tutorial is for personal use only, using it for monetary gain is against our TOU's.

Supplies Needed:

~Gimp (any version will do).

~Tube of choice. I used the artwork of Myka Jelina, you must have a license to use this art which you can now get HERE.

~Memories PTU scrapkit by Tasha's Playground, this kit is a DSI exclusive which you find HERE.

~Font of choice. I used Quickier Demo.

Let's get started!!!!!

1. Open a new layer ( I prefer a large canvas, so I make mine 1050x656). Make your canvas transparent (Layer > Transparency > Color to alpha).

2. Open Frame 7 (square frame), add drop shadow (Filters > Light & Shadow > Drop Shadow).

3. Open Paper 10 center it behind Frame 7, remove excess paper using a cutting tool or eraser.

4. Open Frame 4 (round frame), place it under Frame 7 & Paper 10 in your layer box.

5. Open tube, add drop shadow.

6. Open and place the following elements:

Scatter
Music Sheet
Flower 1
Flower 3
Flower 5
Lantern
Headband
Book
Coins
Jug
Deco 2
Hair Pin
Newspaper
Winged Heart

~Some elements may need to be sized down. Using the Scale Tool in your tool box adjust pixels to desired size~

~Add drop shadow to all elements (except Scatter)~

7. Merge layers (Image > Merge Visible Layer).

8. Crop image (Image > Autocrop Image).

9. Scale image to desired size (Image > Scale Image).

10. Add copyright info and name.

11. Save as .png

~Ice is Nice PTU scrapkit by A Taggers Scrap, which you can get HERE.

~Mask of choice. I used  WSL mask 218 which you can get HERE.

~Font of choice. I used Alex Brush.

Let's get started!!!!!

1. Open a new layer ( I prefer a large canvas, so I make mine 1050x656). Make your canvas transparent (Layer > Transparency > Color to alpha).

2. Open Frame 4 (round frame), add drop shadow (Filters > Light & Shadow > Drop Shadow).

3. Open Paper 14 center it behind Frame 4, remove excess paper using a cutting tool or eraser.

4. Open Frame 5 (rectangular frame), place it over Frame 4 & Paper 14 in your layer box. Add drop shadow.

5. Open Paper 12 center it behind Frame 5, remove excess paper using a cutting tool or eraser.

6. Open tube, add drop shadow.

7. Open and place the following elements:

Snowy Ground
Snowy Branch
Branch 5
Star 3
Jeweled Stars
Bow 4
Tree 5
Leaves
Candle 2
Cherub
Pinecone
Snowballs
Wordart 1

~Some elements may need to be sized down. Using the Scale Tool in your tool box adjust pixels to desired size~

~Add drop shadow to all elements (except Snowy Ground)~

8. Open Paper 16

9. Open mask

10. Add mask to paper (click HERE for a tut on using masks).

11. Merge layers (Image > Merge Visible Layer).

12. Crop image (Image > Autocrop Image).

13. Scale image to desired size (Image > Scale Image).

14. Add copyright info and name.

15. Save as .png

Supplies Needed:

~Gimp (any version will do).

~2013 After Party FTU scrapkit by Tasha's Playground which you can get HERE.

~Tube of choice. I used the artwork of Lix, you must have a license to use this art which you can get from Lix's Tube Store HERE. *This tube has not yet been released*

~Mask of choice. I used WSL mask 84 which you can get HERE.

~Font of choice. I used Twelve Ton Goldfish.

Let's get started!!!!!

1. Open a new layer (I prefer a large canvas, so I make mine 1050x656). Make your canvas transparent (Layer > Transparency > Color to alpha).

2. Open Frame 3, add drop shadow (Filters > Light & Shadow > Drop Shadow).

3. Open Paper 1 center it behind frame, remove excess paper using a cutting tool or eraser.

4. Open tube, add drop shadow.

5. Open and place the following elements:

Phone Case
Music Cross
Disco Ball
Bling
Tape
Flair
Champagne
Lips
Razor Blade
Shoe

~Some elements may need to be sized down. Using the Scale Tool in your tool box adjust pixels to desired size~

~Add drop shadow to all elements~

6. Open Paper 3.

7. Open mask.

8. Add mask to paper (click HERE for a tut on using masks).

9. Merge layers (Image > Merge Visible Layer).

10. Crop image (Image > Autocrop Image).

11. Scale image to desired size (Image > Scale Image).

12. Add copyright info and name.

13. Save as .png

Gimp or program of choice
PTU kit Home For The Holidays from Sweet Cravings Scraps
Tube of choice. I am using the art of Elias Chatzoudis. You must have a license to use these tubes. You can purchase them at his shop HERE.
Mask 337 from weescotslass
Fonts: Great Vibes, Will&Grace and TheNautiGal

-File>New 600x600 px.
-Open frame 1. Layer>Scale Layer 45%. Place in center of canvas. Select the magic wand and click inside frame. Select>Grow 5. Open paper 4. Move paper layer below frame layer in the layer box. Layer>Transparency>Add Alpha Channel. Select>Invert. Press delete on keyboard. Select>None. Make the frame active. Filters>Light & Shadow>Drop Shadow 0, 0, 5, black, 50.
-Open frame 2. Make the bottom layer. Scale 55 %. Place at the upper left of white frame. Repeat drop shadow.
-Open frame 6. Make the top layer. Scale 45% and place on the white frame. Using the magic wand, click inside frame. Grow 5. Invert. Open tube. Make the top layer. Scale 70%. Place tube on red frame. Layer>Duplicate Layer. Move duplicate below the red frame in laye box. Delete. Select none. Make the top tube active. Select the eraser tool and erase the bottom portion of tube sticking outside of the frame. Make the frame active and repeat drop shadow.

-Open paper 2. Make the bottom layer. Apply mask. Click HERE to learn how to use masks in gimp.
-Make the top layer acitve. Select the text tool. Font: Great Vibes, Size 65, foreground color: e1d2a9. Click canvas and type 'Home'. Filters>Noise>RGB Noise. Change all sliders (except alpha) to 0.35. Place text to the lower left of tag. Layer>Transparency>Alpha to Selection. Grow 2. Layer>New Layer. Move new layer below text layer. Change foreground to 890202. Select the bucket fill tool and fill selection. Add drop shadow of 0, 0, 5, black, 80.
-Make the top layer active. Still using the text tool, change font: will&grace, size: 40, foreground color: 890202. Click canvas and type 'for the holidays'. Place text below 'Home' text. Alpha to selection. Grow 1. New layer. Move new layer below this text layer. Bucket fill with e1d2a9. Select none. Repeat noise and drop shadow.
-Add your name with TheNautiGal font and add copyright and you're done!

Gimp or program of choice
PTU kit Lick My Candy Cane from Toxic Desirez. You can purchase this kit at The PSP Project.
Tube of choice. I am using the art of Leonardo Preda. You must have a license to use these tubes.
Template 165 from me HERE
Mask 208 from weescotslass
Font: LD Jilly Nilly

-Open template. Delete credits.  Image>Scale Image 450x450 px. Image>Canvas Size 600x600 px and click center.
-Let's add papers to the template layers. Make the template layer active (see below). Right click template layer in layer box and choose alpha to selection. Open paper (see below). Right click paper layer in layer box and choose add alpha channel. Select>Invert. Press delete on your keyboard. Select>None. Filters>Light & Shadow>Drop Shadow 2, 2, 5, black, 50. Delete the original template layer. Here are the template layers and which papers I used:
1- paper 16
2- paper 6
3- paper 5
4- paper 10
5- paper 3
6- paper 7
7- paper 10
8- paper 17
9- paper 15
10- paper 12
-Make words 1 active. Filters>Noise>RGB Noise. Change all sliders (except alpha) to 0.40.
-Make words 1 back active. Repeat drop shadow.
-Make words 2 active. Colors>Colorize. Change only the lightness to 100.
-Make words 2 back active. Colorize: Hue: 0, Saturation: 100, Lightness: -60. Repeat noise and drop shadow.
-Open tube. Move tube below all the word art layers in the layer box. Layer>Scale 90%. Place at the bottom of tag. Repeat drop shadow.

-Open paper 14. Make the bottom layer. Apply mask. Click HERE to learn how to use masks in gimp.

~Template of choice. I used a template I made just for this tut, which you can download HERE.

~Font of choice. I used Gabba All Caps.
Let's get started!!!

1. Open a new layer ( I prefer a large canvas, so I make mine 1050x656). Make your canvas transparent (Layer > Transparency > Color to Alpha).

2. Open template in PSD format, remove and move layers of template around until they are the way you like them.

~Add paper from scrapkit to individual layers of the template (Right click on template layer in layer box > Alpha to Selection > CTRL I > Select paper layer in layer box > Delete).

These are the papers I used:

Paper 2
Paper 4
Paper 5
Paper 6
Paper 7

~I added noise to some of the template layers to make them look glittery (Filters > Noise > RGB Noise).

~I colorized some of the template layers to better match the scrapkit (Colors > Colorize > play with the setting until you get the desired color).

~Add drop shadow to template layers (Filters > Light & Shadow > Drop Shadow).

3. Open tubes, I used both a full body and a close up.

~Open full body tube, add drop shadow.
~Open close-up. I changed the mode on the close-up to Overlay (at the top of your Layer Box you will see where it says Mode, click the arrow and select Overlay from the drop down menu). The tube has been added to the template in the same way you add paper (Right click on template layer in layer box > Alpha to Selection > CTRL I > Select tube layer in layer box > Delete).

4. Open and place the following elements:

Frame 2
Stars 1
Bow 2
Tree 4
Pinecone
Bauble
Bauble 2
Bauble 4
Gift
Gift 2
Ribbon 2
Wreath 2
Teddy
Light

~Some of the elements may need to be sized down. Using your scale tool in your tool box adjust the pixel size until element is the correct size~

~Add drop shadow to all elements (except Frame 2 & Stars 1)~

5. Merge Layers (Image > Merge Visible Layers).

6. Crop Image (Image > Autocrop Image).

7. Scale image to desired size (Image > Scale Image).

8. Add copyright info and name.
9. Save as .png

2. Open Frame 2, add drop shadow (Filters > Light & Shadow > Drop Shadow).

3. Open Paper 7 center it behind Frame 2, remove excess paper using a cutting tool or eraser.

4. Open Frame 1, place it under Frame 2 & Paper 7 in your layer box. Add drop shadow.

5. Open tube, add drop shadow.

6. Open and place the following elements:

Tree 1
Snowman

~Some elements may need to be sized down. Using the Scale Tool in your tool box adjust pixels to desired size~

~Add drop shadow to all elements~

7. Open Snowflakes 2 element and place it under all other elements in your layer box. This will give the effect of using a mask.

8. Merge layers (Image > Merge Visible Layer).

9. Crop image (Image > Autocrop Image).

10. Scale image to desired size (Image > Scale Image).

11. Add copyright info and name.

12. Save as .png
