Supplies Needed:

~Gimp (any version will do).

~Tube of choice. I used the artwork of Elias Chatzoudis you must have a license to use this art which you can get from PTE HERE. This tube will be available June 1st.

~Free Like a Bird FTU scrapkit by Stef's Scrapkits which you can get HERE.

~Font of choice. I used Yesteryear.

Let's get started!!!!!

1. Open a new layer ( I prefer a large canvas, so I make mine 1050x656). Make your canvas transparent (Layer > Transparency > Color to alpha).

2. Open Element 12 (purple frame), add drop shadow (Filters > Light & Shadow > Drop Shadow).

3. Open Paper 4 center it behind frame, remove excess paper using a cutting tool or eraser.

4. Open tube, add drop shadow.

5. Open and place the following elements:

Element 1
Element 6
Element 8
Element 11
Element 14
Element 16
Element 19
Element 21
Element 22
Element 23 x2
Element 24
Element 25

~Some elements may need to be sized down. Using the Scale Tool in your tool box adjust pixels to desired size~

~Add drop shadow to all elements (except Element 25)~

6. Merge layers (Image > Merge Visible Layer).

7. Crop image (Image > Autocrop Image).

8. Scale image to desired size (Image > Scale Image).

9. Add copyright info and name.

10. Save as .png

Supplies Needed:

~Gimp (any version will do).

~Route 66 PTU scrapkit by Scrapping Mar, which you can purchase from Lollipops N Gumdrops HERE.

~Tube of choice. I used the artwork of Scott Blair, you must have a license to use this art which you can get from PSP Tubes Emporium HERE.

~Template of choice. I used Leah's template 69 which you can get on our blog HERE.

~Font of choice. I used Redhead Goddess Bold.

Let's get started!!!

1. Open a new layer ( I prefer a large canvas, so I make mine 1050x656). Make your canvas transparent (Layer > Transparency > Color to Alpha).

2. Open template in PSD format, remove and move layers of template around until they are the way you like them.

~Add paper from scrapkit to individual layers of the template (Right click on template layer in layer box > Alpha to Selection > CTRL I > Select paper layer in layer box > Delete).

These are the papers I used:

~I added noise to some of the template layers to make them look glittery (Filters > Noise > RGB Noise).

~I colorized some of the template layers to better match the scrapkit (Colors > Colorize > play with the setting until you get the desired color).

~Add drop shadow to template layers (Filters > Light & Shadow > Drop Shadow).

3. Open tube, add drop shadow.

4. Open and place the following elements:

~Some of the elements may need to be sized down. Using your scale tool in your tool box adjust the pixel size until element is the correct size~

~Add drop shadow to all elements~

5. Merge Layers (Image > Merge Visible Layers).

6. Crop Image (Image > Autocrop Image).

7. Scale image to desired size (Image > Scale Image).

8. Add copyright info and name.

9. Save as .png

-file>New 600x600 px.
-Open frame 3. Layer>Scale Layer 75%. Select the rotate tool and click canvas. In the angle box put -10. Select the magic wand. Click inside the frame. Select>Grow 5. Open paper 4. Move paper layer below frame layer in layer box. Layer>Transparency>Add Alpha Channel. Select>Invert. Press delete on keyboard. Select>None. Makethe frame layer active. Filters>Light & Shadow>Drop Shadow 2,2, 2, black, 50.
-Open frame 2. Make the top layer. Place in middle of tag. Scale 65%. Add paper 5 to this frame (repeat above). Repeat drop shadow on frame.
-Open tube. Make the top layer. Scale 65%. Place to the right of tag. Repeat drop shadow.
-Open frame 4. Make the bottom layer. Scale 75%. Place in center. Repeat drop shadow.

-Open template. Delete credits. Image>Scale Image 450x450 px. Image>Canvas Size 600x600 px and click center.
-Let's add papers to the template layers. Make the template layer active (see below). Right click template layer in layer box and choose alpha to selection. Open paper (see below). Right click paper layer in layer box and choose add alpha channel. Select>Invert. Press delete on your keyboard. Select>None. Delete the original template layer.Here are the template layers and which papers I used:
6- paper 4 Filters>Light & Shadow>Drop Shadow 2, 2, 2, black, 50
5- paper 3 repeat drop shadow

3. Open Paper 7 center it behind frame, remove excess paper using a cutting tool or eraser.

4. Open tube, add drop shadow.

Halftone

Ribbon 1

~Add drop shadow to all elements (except Poof & Halftone)~

6. Open Paper 12.

7. Open mask.

8. Add mask to paper (click HERE for a tut on using masks).

9. Merge layers (Image > Merge Visible Layer).

10. Crop image (Image > Autocrop Image).

11. Scale image to desired size (Image > Scale Image).

12. Add copyright info and name.

13. Save as .png

WOOT!!!!!!!!!!!!! Check out this awesome tut from Tasha @ Tasha's Playground called Bee My Honey. She used my PTU kit Don't Worry Bee Happy for this one and I just LOVE it!!!!!!!!
She made another version using a different tube, I'm not sure which one I like more...LOL.

Move new layer below text layer.  Change foreground color to black and select the bucket fill tool. Bucket fill selection. Select none. Add drop shadow of 0, 0, 10, black, 80.
-Open tube. Move below the text layers. Layer>Scale Layer 80%. Place in middle of tag. Repeat drop shadow.
-Open frame 3. Make the bottom layer. Select the rotate tool and click canvas. In the angle box put 10. Scale by 60%. Place in middle. Add drop shadow of 2, 2, 2, black, 50.

Move the duplicate tube layer to the top layer in the layer box. Make the original tube layer active. Delete. Select none. Make the duplicate tube layer active. Repeat drop shadow. Layer>Merge Down (to merge tube with shadow layer). Select the eraser tool. Erase the bottom portion of the tube, so it looks like she is sticking out of the frame.
-Repeat drop shadow on raster 11 and raster 12 layers.

Aw, everybody loves a sweet little baby!!!!! Well here is a cute element pack from Maxine Gadd that celebrates that sweet baby girl in your life. The pack includes the rattle (I used as a frame), the sock, the diaper pin and 2 pieces of wordart and you can use these elements with any PTE artist. This new element pack will be available 5-25-12 @ PSP Tubes Emporium.
The sweet little bear I used in this tag is also by Maxine Gadd and is available now @ PTE.

Supplies:
Gimp or program of choice
Tube of Choice. I am usingthe art of David Saavedra. You must have a license to use these tubes. You can purchase the one I used at PSP Tubes Emporium.
Texture 7 from Alien Dreams
Fonts- Guevara & Quinfo
-File>New 600x225 px.
-Layer>New Layer. Name this layer background. Select the gradient tool. Gradient: incandescent, Shape: radial. Holding down the CTRL button on your keyboard, with your mouse click the middle of the right side and drag all the way to the middle right side.
-Layer>Duplicate Layer.Name this layer background 1. Filter>Distorts>I-Warp using the settings below:

With your mouse, move the gradient around.
Click ok. Change the mode to screen.
-Open texture. Name this layer texture. Layer>Scale Layer 80%. Change the mode to overlay.
-Open tube. Place to the far left. Layer>Layer To Image Size. Change the mode to Grain Merge. Lower the opacity to 75. Layer>Duplicate Layer. Select the flip tool and click canvas to filp duplicate tube. Change the mode of the duplicate to soft light.
-Open tube again. Place in the middle of canvas. Change the mode to soft light.
-Make the top layer active. Select the text tool. Font: Guevara, Size 50, Foreground color white. Type Smokin. Select the rotate tool and click the canvas. In the angle box put 90. Place text to the right side of canvas. Lower the opacity to 10. Change the size to 70, type Burnin Up. Place at the bottom left. Lower the opacity to 50. Repeat drop shadow.
-Open tube 1 more time. Move tube layer under text layers. Scale 75%. Make the top layer. Place in the middle of canvas. Filters>Light & Shadow>Drop Shadow on default. Duplicate. Filters>Blur>Gaussian Blur on default. Change the mode to soft light.
-Time to add a border. Make the top layer active. Add new layer. Using the gradient tool, same gradient, change to linear. Add gradient by clicking top middle and dragging all the way down to the bottom. Layer>Transparency>Alpha To Selection. Select>Shrink 5. Press delete on keyboard. Add same gradient, but start from the bottom middle and drag up. Shrink by 3 and delete. Select>None. Add new layer below this layer. Select the bucket fill tool and fill with black. Alpha to selection. Shrink by 10. Delete. Select none. Add gaussian blur of 20.0.
-Add name and copyright.
If you don't want to animate you're done!
Flame Animation:
Make the background 1 layer acitve. Add new layer. Select the gradient tool. Change your gradient to burning transparency. While pressing CTRL on keyboard, click the top middle of canvas and drag down to the bottom. I-Warp. Use the settings pictured below. I made the design zig zagged this time. Don't press ok yet.
Now using the settings below, distort the image even more. Don't press oaky yet.
Using the setting below, distort the image 1 more time.
Now you can press ok.
Change the mode to screen.
Save this as 1.png.
Delete the flame layer you just made. Repeat above to make another flame layer, of course altering it a bit.
Save as 2.png.
Delete flames again and repeat above 1 more time.
Save as 3.png.
Now you can close this window.
Open 1.png.
Now go to File>Open As Layers and open 2.png & 3.png.
Now go to Filters>Animation>Playback to see your animation in action. If it look good to you, its time to save!
So go to File>Save As. Save af GIF.
Click saveand you'll get another box. Check Save As Animation and click export.

Then you'll get another box.
Make sure to click Use Delay Entered Above For All Frames and change the milliseconds to 200.
